 March is here and the first day of spring is just around the corner! This month, some people will get excited about planting their gardens, and others get excited about the college basketball tourney or MLB spring training. Some start to look forward to a summer vacation. And we love all of those things, too. But, here at Ethos, we get the most excited about Saint Patrick’s Day!
Kelly’s Irish ancestry and his love of simple, hearty foods make it a special treat each year for us to carefully prepare (and eat!) some of his Irish food favorites – all vegan, of course!  St Paddy’s Day
Saint Patrick’s Day is on Sunday, March 17th! Because St. Paddy’s this year falls on a Sunday, we’ll be doing things a little differently than normal. Boxty, Sheep’s Pie and Potato Leek Soup will be available from Noon to 11pm. Irish Stew and Bangers and Mash will be available during Dinner, from 5pm to 11pm. Plus, enjoy $1-Off Beers all day long!

 Meatout!
Meatout occurs on March 20th every year. Organized by the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM), the intent of Meatout is to encourage and help folks to “kick the meat habit.” In honor of Meatout 2013, why not introduce a friend or family member to vegan food by taking them out to eat at your favorite local vegan restaurant, or by cooking them a tasty vegan dinner at home? Your guest just might enjoy their vegan meal enough to eat meatless more often, and every meal makes a difference!

 5% Day Beneficiary: CJ Acres Animal Rescue Farm
In honor of Meatout 2013 we’ve selected CJ Acres Animal Rescue Farm as our March 5% Day beneficiary. Simply dine in or take out on Saturday, March 23rd, and we’ll donate 5% of your check to this cause. CJ Acres is a non-profit,all-volunteer organization that exists to rescue, rehabilitate, and reintroduce in-need animals, while promoting compassionate animal care to the community. Their sanctuary is home to horses, goats, chickens, pigs, turkeys and ducks.
